Rhodiola rosea, plante adaptogène alpine utilisée en compléments alimentaires et cosmétique

Rhodiola rosea, also known as rose root or divine golden root, was kept a secret for a long time before Carl Linnaeus gave it its name in 1725. Used in Chinese, Russian, and Scandinavian medicine, it was rediscovered in the 1940s under Stalin, becoming a key component of Soviet programs aimed at improving physical and mental performance.

This perennial plant, one of more than 200 species, is distinguished by its magnificent flowers and aromatic rhizome. Grown in cold regions such as Finland, Switzerland, Canada, and Russia, Rhodiola rosea requires constant care. Growing at altitudes of 1,000 to 4,000 meters, it can live up to four years in the ground, with its rhizomes—rich in active compounds—reaching their peak after four years.

Pink stonecrop has become the symbol of Evoleina Rhodiola and its products, recognized for its exceptional properties as an adaptogenic plant. PhytoArk’s extraction techniques and Mediplant’s expertise have greatly contributed to the development of these various products, providing access to the remarkable benefits of this ancient plant.
